I spotted this lovely bougainvillea when I was walking back from getting yummy stuff from one of my favorite neighborhood bakeries.
Bougainvillea is native to South America but has become quite popular throughout the world and is immensely popular here in the Southern United States. Because of the temperate climate, it remains wondrously showy throughout much of the year.
Case in point, here it is in all it’s splendor in the heart of November.

Gorgeous flowers. Love it!

Hi JoAnn,
Bougainville flowers look really beautiful. In India Bougainville is very popular and people love to grow multiple colours together near the main gate of their house.

JoAnn, I so much wish if I could but unfortunately now I am living in a small flat.My all memories with plants are surrounded to my parent’s house and city. Though the city Bangalore in which I am living now used to be green city, but with the growing population now it is concrete city.

You are very welcome JoAnn. I do love flowers of all kinds. Big flowers are ones that are special when they grow and actually bloom into stunning eye candy !

Ahhh…wonderful! Thanks for giving the imagination a vacation – memories of what one was and anticipation of what will be, months (many, many months) from now.
Obviously, the Spanish named “Florida” well. A week or so after the frost did away with the last of the mums, your post is just what we need. Until April at leastl, you’ll be our eyes, JoAnn!

You’re welcome! As a former northerner I’m still amazed that I’m able to experience year round spring/summer like grandeur.
The Spanish indeed gave this state the perfect name… or should I say el nombre perfecto. 🌸
