Just another coronavirus meme

If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry – I don’t know who came up with this saying. There doesn’t seem to be a clear origin… but truer words have never been spoken!

Right at this moment I could see myself spending all day crying my eyes out and screaming my head off like a mad woman. Instead though, I’m going to make up more of these stupid memes to post for y’all. It’s quite fun as well as being a more positive and constructive outlet for my sheer and intense grief.

Hope everyone is surviving!

    1. Yikes, all the appointments are going virtual. Don’t know how you can do blood work through the computer… not to mention other essential things.

      1. Thank you. The dense population made it a hotbed for the virus to spread. The governor ordered quarantine. Yes, as large as it is it’s shut down. It’s eerie right now. I have a friend from Northern New Jersey. 🙂

        1. Yes, that must be eerie. Having the Orlando area mostly shut down is weird too. All the parks are closed and most hotels of course. The convention center has been turned into a testing center 😕

          1. I can’t imagine seeing Disney being shut down. Yes, places like that were some of the first to close. Parks and hotels aren’t considered essential businesses. The college students just had Spring Break and I heard many did not go to Florida this year. I am glad they didn’t so they didn’t expose themselves to the virus.
Things are slowly coming back to life after such a high death total last week. Meekly, people are moving about for essential things. We aren’t out of the woods yet.

            1. No, not essential businesses but since tourism is a huge part of our economy it has a tremendous impact. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon but who knows when that will be 😕

              1. Yes, I have heard about how the coronavirus has affected the Florida economy. I have relatives in Florida and they say the tourist business is being clobbered with all businesses shut down. I just hope those it affected are able to recover.

                    1. Yes , here in Florida, and especially here in the Orlando area, they are being extremely careful. The last thing they need is to be another New York. So things may open extra slow for us 😕

                    2. I hope they are careful. I live in New York and it’s bad here. One day we lost over a thousand people. I hope they don’t let the desire to make money caused them to become careless.

    1. Wow, beer not essential. I know a lot of people who would argue about that. Despite the meme I’m actually much more of a wine drinker, therefore I consider the production of moscato to be on my list of essentials. 😋

  1. Beautiful, JoAnn! Exactly what we need, it keeps life going while we find a way through this. After this is over, yes, we’re alive, but did we remember to live? If we read JoAnn’s blog we did.

Couldn’t believe it at first, until I verified it later, Corona’s sales were down drastically after it became clear the virus was spreading. Really, people, this is your response – idiocy? After this is over, wait until we get the first news of a chickenpox outbreak among elementary school students. Look for Tyson’s sales to plummet.

Free investment advice right there, and I’m not even a broker or a mutual fund manager.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words. It really made my day. 🙂
Chicken pox and chicken sales, now that’s funny. People are just crazy and weird sometimes and that’s all I have to say about that! 😆

  2. I remember reading that an old-time blues singer in the South once told some academic recording his music: “When you see me laughing, it’s to keep from crying.” Legend or not, the bluesman and you have good advice for trying times.

    1. Sounds like a very plausible source. Like laughter, music is another great way to deal with hard times like these. 🙂
      Glad we have both!
